Classic Kaleidoscope, Brass Kaleidoscope. The traditional Kaleidoscope is made with techniques originating from the invention of the kaleidoscope in 1817. At one end of the apparatus consisting of two mirrors, is a closed section containing glass shards, beads and other reflective objects. These all move and drop within the void when the barrel is turned, and at every given moment a new magnificent image is created.

Wonky viewing

First, smaller than expected ~ but more importantly, the internal focal point is NOT CENTERED; one must rotate the whole unit around to find the center the lovely patterns.... every time. And the hole is too small for easy viewing. Sigh.

We are sorry that the kaleidoscope was not exactly what you expected.

After reviewing the photos you sent us via email, Roy confirmed that the mirror system is working as intended and that the visuals are correct. This model has one main symmetrical center with additional asymmetrical reflections, as also shown in the listing photos. It is actually one of our most popular models, although we fully understand that this particular visual effect may not be right for everyone.

The exact measurements are provided in the product description, and the size of the viewing hole is designed according to the diameter of the kaleidoscope tube and cannot be made larger on this model.

It is important to us that our customers have a good experience with our kaleidoscopes, which is why we were happy to offer you a return or exchange if it did not suit you.
